About the Project''The aim of the Scottish Baccalaureates is to encourage more of our young people to study science and language courses in the later stages of secondary school, raise the status of S6, and assist our young people in making the transition from school to higher and further education and employement.'' Fiona Hislop; Cabinet Secretary for Education in Lifelong Learning.
Why have I chosen this topic? The main reason for choosing this topic was to develop my knowledge on mindsets as well as my ability to communicate in French. This is because I plan to apply for a French and Psychology course in University and my personal interest inclines me to do some background research on these topics combined. My Aim The aim of this research is to investigate whether there is a difference in mindsets towards education, specifically university, between French and Scottish high school students. I would like to find out whether they consider Higher education to be essential and a priority and whether they have a growth or fixed mindset when they come across hardships in their student life.
